Boosters (natural additives)

Colonics with boosters are generally introduced after you’ve completed a few sessions. It’s important to determine whether a booster is truly necessary before adding something your body may not need. Your protocol will be unique to you—no two guts are alike, and each digestive system responds differently.
Boosters support good gut health and are added at the end of a colonic through the water input tube and held for up to 10 minutes so they absorb into the soft tissue of the colon wall.
When Do I Add A Booster?
We typically add boosters near the end of your treatment so you leave the clinic not only feeling cleansed, but also supported. Boosters are intended as an add-on to a personalized protocol that you and your therapist decide on together.
Depending on your individual situation, they may not always be recommended. Colonics with boosters are not automatically part of every treatment plan and are used only when appropriate.
Are Enemas the same as Boosters?
Enemas and boosters are not the same. Enemas are a standalone treatment administered using an enema bag. Boosters are optional natural additives introduced during a colonic session to support comfort, elimination, and overall wellness throughout the treatment.
Available Boosters
Chlorophyll (healing / energy / parasites)
Reduce inflammation and bad bacterial growth. This bad boy strengthens red blood cells and repairs cell damage. Do you struggle with unwanted body odour? Try this! Are you detoxing and need a good binding agent during elimination? This is the right choice.
Black Walnut (parasites / gut balancing)
This one packs a powerful punch! Black walnut hulls are anti-parasitic, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and antifungal. These compounds change your environment for the positive, thereby scaring off uninvited critters. When dealing with parasitic conditions, Black Walnut would be indicated as an add on.
On occasion, we may even suggest a combination of Chlorophyll and Black Walnut.
Bifidobacterium (Probiotic)
This healer contains a proprietary blend.
This is our favourite option for clients dealing with SIBO, preparing for flu season, or supporting the body before and after travel. The theory behind this booster is that introducing a targeted, blend of five beneficial bacterial strains during a colonic helps encourage healthy probiotic colonization specifically in the large intestine—where these bacteria are meant to thrive. By supporting microbial balance at the right location, this approach aims to promote digestive resilience, immune support, and overall gut harmony during times of increased stress or disruption.
Fun fact: If you’re missing your appendix, this booster may be especially supportive. The appendix is believed to play a role in housing beneficial bacteria, so without it, the body can sometimes have a harder time maintaining healthy gut flora. This blend is designed to help support that balance.
Remember, the gut is responsible for producing 80% of our favourable bacteria. Bifido implants can promote a healthy gut flora composition and support overall GI health. Delivery of probiotics right where you need them!
